TOP QUALITY RESIDENTIAL FENCING

Humans have used fences for thousands of years as physical barriers or to mark out boundaries. They are so common they’re almost everywhere, and sometimes barely get a second glance.

That’s not the case with our garden fences. They are as strong and secure as they are beautiful, made using the finest quality timber or metal, and built to last for years.

If you’re looking for local fencing contractors who ensure customer satisfaction when it comes to the supply and installation of fencing and gates, you’ve found them!

Keep you safe: our fencing contractors will ensure every inch of your garden is safe for you, your children, grandchildren and pets

Ensure your security: robust wooden fencing is a great deterrent to would-be intruders, whether humans or animals

Enhance your property: every fence installation we do is both beautiful and bespoke

DIFFERENT TYPES OF GARDEN FENCING

Many people think a fence is a fence is a fence, but we know there’s a lot more to residential fencing than meets the eye.

As long-standing professional fencing contractors, we know each job will vary depending on the customers’ taste, site location, requirements and budget.

We supply and install many different types and styles but all are suitable for even the most complex fencing project. Let’s take a closer look:

WOOD FENCING

Let’s start with the classic natural, sustainable material: wood. For centuries it has enclosed spaces, defined boundaries and secured properties.

Timber fence posts and fence panels have been combined in countless fences and gates across the world, and we have a complete range to choose from.

THE BEST TIMBER FOR FENCES

As a trusted fencing contractor, we know which timbers are best for a hard-wearing but good-looking garden fence. They also help reduce noise by up to 28 decibels, which is great if you live next to a busy road.

Redwood is regarded as one of the very best materials for fencing and gates, while pressure-treated pine, larch and spruce are also commonly used for a residential fencing project.

Although these evergreens are soft woods, they are easier to work with during a job and grow faster, which helps reduce costs.

Timber fence posts and fence panels have been combined in countless fences and gates across the world, and we have a complete range to choose from.

They can also be installed in a variety of fences, making them a flexible and creative material:

Closeboard fencing: comprised of individual vertical boards, horizontal timber gravel boards and timber posts.

Concrete feather edge fencing: comprised of different-sized vertical feather edge panels (depending on your choice), concrete posts and concrete gravel boards. Concrete can also feature wavy lap panels which are horizontal boards.

Timber picket fencing: Ideal for enclosing animals, rural gardens and fields

Composite fencing: made from a blend of recycled plastic materials and wood, they have outstanding longevity, need almost no repair and are resistant to rot and mould.

Metal mesh fencing powder coated: excellent for creating specific areas for pets.

Timber post and rail fencing: ideal for enclosing animals, rural gardens and fields.

Bespoke timber fencing: contemporary designs created with the team and customer.

Gates: we design and install a variety of robust, secure gates.

Timber or concrete posts: depending on your requirements, our fencing contractors will carefully and precisely sink the required post to support the panels or timber structure. If a gate is also included in the job, the gate posts will be installed too.

Gravel boards: these wooden or concrete boards, installed at the bottom, protect the fence from insects, debris or moisture. They add height to your fencing and gates, extend lifespan and minimise repair work.

We will work with you to design a modern look, perfect for period or contemporary homes with garden landscaping, or even a business location.

DECORATIVE TOUCHES

Our fences do a fantastic job of providing safety, security and privacy for our clients, but many of them have specific needs that go beyond screening their garden.

With that in mind, our extensive range of fencing services includes installing decorative elements, such as lattice panels, on top of a panel, picket or slatted fence.

Usually made from the same robust timber as the fence, these decorative flourishes can be straight or shaped to add more interest as a landscaping backdrop.

“I am extremely happy with the service I received. The existing fence was falling down, and I was very lucky to get the job done quickly due to a cancellation. The lads arrived on time and worked solidly through the morning. They cleared up afterwards and took all the old panels and posts away. The price was very reasonable. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them.”

DO YOU NEED PLANNING PERMISSION FOR A FENCE?

It depends, according to Planning Portal, a joint venture between the the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government, and TerraQuest Solutions.

If you want to install a new fence, alter, improve, maintain or remove an existing fence that is next to a road used by vehicles and is less than one metre high from ground level, then you don’t need planning permission.

Likewise, you don’t need planning permission if the fencing is located elsewhere and is no taller than two metres, or if an existing fence is bigger than two metres and you have no plans to increase its height further.

No permission is needed if no part of the site is a listed building or within the curtilage of a listed building, no part of the fencing, wall, gate or any other boundary involved, forms a boundary with a neighbouring listed building or its curtilage.

Finally, no permission is needed if the right to put up or alter fences, walls and gates has not been removed by an article four direction or planning condition.

It’s worth noting some conservation areas have restrictions, but as trusted fencing contractors, we can offer advice if you’re not sure.
